Despite a late surge by the Chiefs, including two touchdown passes from Mahomes, the Eagles defense held strong. Hurts finished the game with 221 passing yards, 72 rushing yards, and three total touchdowns, earning him the Super Bowl MVP honors. The Eagles defense also played a crucial role, sacking Mahomes six times and forcing three turnovers.

The victory was a significant achievement for the Eagles, who had lost to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl two years prior. Head coach Nick Sirianni praised his team’s performance, stating, “That’s a great football team, and we had to come out and play our best, and we did”.
